Our Story
.....Kelly and Dave happened to both be out of town and at a bar (shocking), when Dave spotted Kelly from across the room sitting at the bar and drinking what looked like a sweet tea. (Note to self, a Yeungling draft beer with a lime in it could look a lot like a sweet tea.) Dave, knowing that he couldn't let this beautiful girl get away, asked to buy Kelly another sweet tea. She laughed at him, because of course it was NOT a sweet tea, but thought he was handsome, so she started talking to him. Even though he lived in Alabama and she lived in Virginia, they thought they could at least be "friends" and little did they know that it would turn into much more than just a friendship. Fast forward 10 months later and Dave convinced Kelly to sell her house in Virginia, pack up her stuff and her dog to move to Alabama with him. After a few months of happily living together, they added a new addition to the family in November of 2006. Peyton Neyland, a beautiful female boxer puppy, now made the family complete (sort of). The missing link came in February of 2007 when Dave took Kelly on her first ski trip to Breckenridge, Colorado. On a snowy and star filled night, at a temperature of -6 degrees, Dave took Kelly on a horsedrawn sleigh ride with the beautiful Colorado mountains in the background and asked her to be his wife. She decided that night, that she fell in love with him all over again, and was honored to say YES.
