CORRECTION:
We have changed the wedding and destination/preferred accomodations to the Pelican Bay Hotel in Freeport, Bahamas for our guests to stay during our wedding. Pelican Bay is a smaller, boutique style hotel located on the Bay, directly across the street from the beach. They offer shuttle service to/from the beach also. The hotel has great reviews and although it's not a 5 star facility, it is close to everything and reasonably priced.
The ceremony site will be on a private beach that guests will be taken to via 20 minute ferry/boat ride and then the reception will be at one of the restaurants at the hotel.
We have pre-negotiated the following rates for our guests to stay at Pelican Bay. To reserve online:

On our home page, select online reservations from the navigation box on the left.
This takes you to our reservations landing page. Choose "group."
You will be prompted from here to select group reservations.
Guests' password is: wartho2.
Single/double nightly rates are: Bay/marina view deluxe bay view room - $189; superior bay view room - $159 Garden marina view room - $149 One Bedroom Suite - $249
All rates are subject to the prevailing 6% Government Guest Room Tax and 6% Resort Levy per room, per night; these are subject to change.
A charge of $50 will be added for a third person sharing a double suite. A charge of $30 will be added for a third person sharing a double room.
This online capability automatically shuts off one month prior to the expected arrival date for our guests -- December 16, 2007.
Please note, this resort only has a limited number of rooms on hold for us, so please contact them asap to reserve your accomodations for the wedding!
If you still need to book your airfare also, then booking a package deal is the cheapest way to go and you will get a better discount on the room also. We have arranged with a travel agent to do this and you can book online with them at www.ragantravel.com. On the left click on Book Travel, then select air and hotel with your dates.
If you are planning on attending, we need to know by 12/1/07. Please post a note in the guestbook portion of this site, along with the dates you will be on island.
We (Dave and I) will be arriving on Wednesday, January 16th and if you are arriving on Thursday, we would love to get together with everyone for cocktails that evening at one of the hotel restaurants on the water.
